Upendrra Rai, Chief Of Bharat Express News Network To Speak On 2nd India Liver Health Summit Along With Kailash Satyarthi And Others

The second edition of India Liver Health Summit is being organized on World Liver Day, which falls on April 19, 2023, at APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences. The summit is to be held to create awareness about liver health and diseases and it holds a list of renowned guests who are coming to grace the occasion that includes Upendrra Rai, CMD and Editor-in-chief of Bharat Express News Network, and Dr. Ashok Chauhan, president, Amity Education Group as the guest of honors whereas Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi will be there as the chief guest.

On World Liver Day, this platform will bring the key stakeholders, government, doctors, medical experts, medical & pharmaceutical companies and institutions, and other non-governmental bodies, patient advocacy groups, and associations working in preventive care to create awareness on alcohol liver diseases and to advocate for lifestyle changes, especially in the younger population.

The key highlight of this summit will be Project PLAY-SAFE (Protecting Liver against Alcohol in Youth: Enhancing Societal and familial awareness in ALD), a groundbreaking campaign aimed at raising awareness about prevention, early identification and management of Alcohol-related Liver Disease (ALD).

 

The campaign launch will feature talks from honoured speakers such as likes of Upendrra Rai, KL Jain, Manit Jain, and noble laureate Kailash Satyarthi and a panel discussion led by renowned experts in the field of liver health and alcohol; who will share their valuable insights and perspectives on this critical issue. The panel will discuss the scope of alcohol-associated Liver disease in young adults; the importance of societal and familial awareness in prevention; and the way ahead for Project PLAY-SAFE and ILBS in combating ALD.
