UP: Suheldev express derailed at Prayagraj station

PRAYAGRAJ

Two coaches and engine of Suheldev Express train running between Delhi’s Anand Vihar and UP’s Ghazipur city derailed at Prayagraj railway station  on Tuesday night. As soon as the information was received, railway police and other officials reached the spot. During this time the passengers were taken out.

At the time of derailment of Suheldev Express, the entire train was packed with passengers. Passengers were also sitting near the toilet and door of the train. Suddenly at around nine o’clock in the night, the train stopped with a jerk and the passengers who were preparing to sleep fell down with a crash.

Everyone trembled with the fear of something untoward. There was screaming in the entire train. Some passengers jumped from the train. When many passengers reached near the engine, they saw that it had derailed

Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of North Central Railway, Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay,  said  that the train left the station and two wheels of the engine derailed. He said that the two coaches behind the engine also derailed.

According to sources, this incident happened on platform number six when the train had got the green signal and was about to depart. During this time suddenly some wheels of the coaches derailed. It is fortunate that no one was injured in this incident.
