In a strategic move aimed at bolstering operational efficiency and oversight, the Uttar Pradesh state government has launched a comprehensive initiative to modernize its enforcement vehicle fleet.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, this initiative forms a crucial part of the state’s broader vision for integrated development.
The project however focuses on equipping vehicles belonging to the State Enforcement Squad with state-of-the-art GPS tracking and Vehicle Location Tracking (VLT) devices.
This upgrade will greatly improve monitoring capabilities and ensure quick responses to operational needs throughout Uttar Pradesh.
A spokesperson from the state government highlighted the proactive approach taken by the administration, emphasizing the meticulous crafting of an action plan aligned with the Chief Minister’s directives.
Central to this plan is the installation of 223 GPS location and VLT devices on designated vehicles, facilitating real-time tracking and monitoring capabilities.
Furthermore, the project includes the development of a robust backend software infrastructure that will support a sophisticated database and provide a user-friendly interface for seamless operation of the VLT solution.
This cloud-enabled software efficiently captures, stores, processes, analyzes and displays data from installed devices.
Meanwhile, Shreetron India Limited will serve as the primary service provider for this initiative, collaborating with other empaneled companies involved in the upgrade process.
The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of June, marking a significant milestone in enhancing enforcement capabilities across the state.
In adherence to AIS-140 standards, all devices will undergo SIM activation and recharge to ensure continuous functionality.
Meanwhile, technical support will also be readily available throughout the five-year contract period, underscoring the government’s commitment to maintaining optimal operational conditions.
