An employee from the state medical department has been suspended for allegedly assigning tasks to a deceased colleague during the visit of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel to Ballia, officials reported on Sunday.
Dr. Vijaypati Dwivedi, the Chief Medical Officer, announced on Sunday that the clerk, Brijesh Kumar, stationed at the chief medical officer’s office in Ballia, was suspended on Saturday and reassigned to the office of the additional director in Azamgarh.

Dr. Dwivedi highlighted that Mr. Kumar’s actions were a serious oversight during the governor’s visit, where he allocated responsibilities to an employee who was no longer alive.
Furthermore, the clerk failed to designate someone to inspect the food intended for the event, Dr. Dwivedi added.
The CMO stated that Mr. Kumar is undergoing disciplinary proceedings.
