Union Ministers, Delhi CM Flag Off ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally Ahead Of Independence Day

Union Ministers and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta flagged off the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Bike Rally from Bharat Mandapam on Tuesday to inspire citizens to bring the Tricolour home and hoist it in celebration of India’s Independence Day.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, and several Members of Parliament joined CM Rekha Gupta in launching the rally.

Thousands of bikers, holding the Tricolour, rode out with chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ echoing through the air.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s Address

Speaking to reporters, CM Gupta said, “From MPs to our brave soldiers, everyone is expressing their patriotism today. Even decades after independence, our love for our country grows stronger every year. I thank PM Narendra Modi for taking this national festival to every household.”

She extended Independence Day greetings to the nation.

The Chief Minister criticised the Opposition, saying, “Before 2014, did anyone celebrate Independence Day like this? Did any Prime Minister carry the Tricolour and chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’? Those who parade the Constitution everywhere will never say these words.”

Earlier in the day, CM Gupta and Minister Ashish Sood flagged off the ‘Tiranga Cyclothon’ for girls from Vidhan Sabha to Rajghat.

Addressing the event, she said, “Delhi’s daughters are participating in this cyclothon as a symbol of a new chapter for women in the city. These thousands of girls will help lead the country forward.”

She further assured that the Delhi government would work to secure a bright future for the daughters of Delhi.

Over the past three years, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has transformed into a nationwide movement. Citizens from across the country have embraced the initiative, participating in large numbers both online and offline to display their love for the nation.
