Akal Takht holds meeting
Akal Takht Jathedar, Giani Harpreet Singh held a meeting of panthic organizations. Followed by the meeting, he issued an ultimatum for the release of all the aides and supporters of Radical leader, Amritpal Singh.
Also, the meeting discussed giving free of cost legal support to the ones who are arrested by the police.
SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami said, “The jathedar has issued an open invitation to all the families whose children have been arrested in unnecessary cases. In addition to this, the SGPC will pay the fees of lawyer, already hired by the aggrieved families.”
The religious bodies are determined to move to High Court against the imposition of the strongest National Security Act against the 7 Sikhs. At the meeting, a few Sikhs even raised Pro-Khalistan slogans to support the Khalistani preacher Amritpal.
According to the reports, Akal Takht will be launching ‘Khalsa Wahir’ if the ultimatum was not honored. Khalsa Wahir will aim at exposing the government that is working to the general public. It will start at the very basic, village level.
This movement will not only discuss religion, but it will also discuss the issues related to drugs. It will work like an anti-drug campaign.
“All the Sikh bodies, including SGPC and SAD, will go to people and highlight how the Sikhs are being terrorized and defamed,” said SGPC President in a conversation with the media.
