Ujjain Enters Guinness Book Of World Records By Lighting 18.82 Lakh Lamps On Mahashivaratri

The people of Ujjain have set a new world record by lighting 18 lakh 82 thousand 229 lamps simultaneously at Ram Ghat, Dutt Akhara, Narsingh Ghat, Gurunanak Ghat, Sunhari Ghat, Bhukimata Ghat.

On the occasion of Mahashivaratri, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the residents of Ujjain have presented a unique example of public participation.

He further said today is a day of pride for the city of Ujjain. There is an atmosphere of celebration and joy all around, it’s a beautiful day. Lord Shri Mahakal’s blessings are showering on the city of Ujjain.

Chief Minister Chouhan started the Shiv Jyoti Arpanam program by lighting the lamps brought with him from Bhopal at Ramghat along with his wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan. He said today that Avantika city has got the privilege of setting a unique world record on Mahashivaratri by the grace of Shri Mahakal Maharaj and the devotion, and penance of the general public.

Mr. Chouhan said that a glorious, prosperous and powerful nation is being built under the leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister, further, said our Madhya Pradesh is also not subordinate; we are also continuously moving forward. Our state will also become a powerful state.

CM Chouhan said that the color of Ujjayini is unique, wonderful, and unforgettable. He noted that Ujjayini would be made number-one in cleanliness. He said that everything is possible only when Shiva and Shakti stay together. He said, “I see Shakti Swaroopa Devi in ​​mother-sister and daughter. After Ladli Laxmi Yojana, now Ladli Bahna Yojana is being started for the empowerment of poor sisters. Under the Ladli Bahna Yojana, poor sisters will be given one thousand rupees a month. 12 thousand rupees will be given to them in a year”.

World record certificate handed over to Chief Minister Chouhan

Swapnil Dangarikar and Nischal Barot of the Guinness Book of World Records team handed over the certificate of establishment of the world record to Chief Minister Chouhan. Swapnil announced that today 18 lakh 82 thousand 229 lamps have been lit at various ghats in Ujjain. In the Shiv Jyoti Arpan program, the work of lighting the lamp at Ramghat started at 7 pm. Simultaneously 18 lakh 82 thousand 229 lamps were lit. At 8 o’clock at the night, the lamps were counted with the drone camera.

Gaze at the amazing view of the Ghats from the boat

Chief Minister Chouhan along with his wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan, sitting on a boat, looked at the wonderful hue of lamps planted from Ramghat to Bhukimata. The lights of the ghats were turned off and the banks of the Shipra river bathed in the light of the lamps. A laser show was also performed on this occasion. The title song of Shiv Jyoti Arpanam was also launched. Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurated the Shri Krishna-Sudama Complex built at a cost of Rs 9 crore 96 lakh in the Dudhtalai area of ​​Ujjain. In front of the complex, 11 thousand lamps were lit by the Jain community.
