Two Arrested For Attempted Religious Conversion In UP’s Sultanpur

Police in Sultanpur have arrested two individuals for attempting to convert people to Christianity in the Mahuaria locality under Kotwali Nagar police station. The accused, identified as Salvin and Saini, were taken into custody after a police investigation confirmed the incident.

Kotwali Station Officer Prashant Kumar Singh stated on Sunday that they received information about conversion activities in the area. The police quickly responded and verified the claims.

Accused Charged Under Conversion Law

The authorities have registered a case against the two under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Religious Conversion Act. The case falls under sections 3, 5, and 1 of the Act. The police are now taking necessary legal action and have begun the process of sending the accused to jail.

Ongoing Investigation

The police have launched an investigation to gather more details on the case. They are looking into how the accused were spreading Christianity in the area and trying to convert residents. Further developments in the investigation are expected.
