Tragic Incident In Noida: Daughter Of Former IAS Officer Dies By Suicide

A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Noida as Ridha Mustafa, the 24-year-old daughter of former UP cadre IAS officer Mohammad Mustafa, ended her life by jumping from the 29th floor of a residential society in Sector-128. The incident occurred on Sunday, leaving her family and the community in shock.

Incident Details

The police confirmed that Ridha, a resident of JP Township Society in the Police Station Sector 126 area, leapt from her flat’s 29th floor. She died instantly due to the impact. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and have stated that preliminary evidence points to mental stress as a possible cause.

Police Investigation Underway

The Gautam Buddha Nagar Police have launched a detailed probe, including scanning CCTV footage and examining all possible angles. Officials are working to determine the exact reasons behind Ridha’s decision and whether external factors contributed to the tragedy.

Ridha’s father, Mohammad Mustafa, is a retired IAS officer from the 1995 batch. He took voluntary retirement in June 2024 after a distinguished career. Mustafa rose to prominence during the Mayawati government for his firm actions against controversial politician Raghuraj Pratap Singh, also known as Raja Bhaiya.

His actions led to Raja Bhaiya’s arrest under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA). Following the operation, Mustafa was granted Z Plus security.

Before his VRS, Mustafa held the position of Principal Secretary, Public Enterprises, and had previously served as Labor Commissioner after returning from central deputation in August 2020.

Community In Mourning

The tragic loss has left the JP Township Society and Mustafa’s family devastated. Friends, colleagues, and officials have expressed their condolences. The investigation continues as authorities seek to bring clarity to the heartbreaking incident.
