Tragedy In Classroom! A student Dies From A Sudden Cessation Of Heartbeat

Heart attacks are becoming more frequent these days. An IIT student died from cardiac arrest on the 27th of March 2023.

A resident of the Shivalik hostel named Mr. K.K. Premdeep was pursuing his M.Tech. from the Department of Energy Science and Engineering (DESE).

Mr. Premdeep collapsed unexpectedly (dropped off his chair) during an ESL718 class in LH 603 at around 1755 hours. The Head of his department was closed and arrived in the classroom shortly after the Delhi emergency was called.

Delhi ambulance arrived within minutes. Due to an apparent lack of pulse/heartbeat, the hospital doctor promptly sent him to AIIMs without delay, with the accompanying doctor.

According to records, he arrived at AIIMS at 1825 hours and was proclaimed “brought dead” later.

“Mr. Premdeep served in the Indian Army for the past 12 years,” said sources.

He was in good shape and had just had his routine medical checkup three days prior. “Everything was fine,” sources added.
