Delhi Police have claimed that the three suspected ISIS terrorists who were arrested on 2nd of this month were involved in Delhi riots that took place in 2020. Not only that, they were even involved in the protests against CAA and NRC which happened in Shaheen Bagh.

A big communal riot took place from the protests against CAA and NRC. Arshad, an accused arrested used to raise slogans , “‘Tera Mera Rishta Kya Hai, La Ilaha Illallah’. Arshad were also accused of providing shelter to Shahnawaz – the most wanted terrorist of National Investigating Agency (NIA)
Special cell of Delhi Police, on Monday, arrested Shahnawaz, Arshad and Rizwan. The trio were arrested on the charges of carrying out terrorist activities in the country. They admitted during interrogations that they had plans to plant Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) along the road that link Mumbai, Surat, Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.

Delhi Police Special Cell said that bomb-making literature, sent from Pakistan-based handlers, and other incriminating materials were recovered from Shahnawaz’s hideouts.
