‘Terrorism has nothing to do with religion’: Amit Shah

Secular approach gibes with the broad hearted India. BJP’s one of the top leaders, Amit Shah says, – “Terrorism should never be linked to any religion.

The Union Home Minister in a bid to get rid of the saffron image with the statement, saying, “In order to confront terrorism, we have made major progress in fortifying the security architecture of the country, as well as the financial and legal systems.”

Holding that financing of terrorism is more dangerous in comparison to terrorism, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that the threat cannot and should not be considered connected  to any religion or group.

”The terrorists constantly are seen finding new ways to carry out violence, radicalization of youth raising financial resources and the darknet, they spread radical content as well as conceal their identities.” adds Amit Shah during his address to the gathering at the third ‘No Money for Terror Ministerial Conference on Counter-Terrorism Financing’ hosted by the Home Ministry in the capital.

Keeping in view the global peace, the Union Home Minister maintained, “Terrorism is, no doubt, the most serious threat to global peace as well as security. Nevertheless, I believe, the financial upbringing of terrorism is more fatal than the terrorism itself because such funding nurtures the ‘means and methods’ of terrorism.”

“Moreover, financing of terrorism does weaken the countries’ economy around the world,” Amit Shah goes on saying, “To confront terrorism, India has to make significant progress in fortifying the security architecture, along with the financial and legal systems.”

The notorious crime factory Pakistan was also seen mentioned in Shah’s speech. With words of veiling attack on Pakistan, Amit Shah opined that there are countries that “wish to undermine or even hinder, the collective resolve to fight terrorism globally”.

The Home Minister pointed out that India has seen that some countries shelter and protect terrorists, supporting a terrorist is equivalent to supporting terrorism. This comes on our part as a collective responsibility that such elements do not succeed in their malicious intentions.”
