Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar
Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, dismissed the claims yet again today—three days after searches on the homes of members of his family in many states in connection with the land-for-jobs case while mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Tejashwi Yadav claimed that the Yadav family are sincere socialists and not fake entire political science people in a dig at the Prime Minister’s entire political science degree and Amit Shah’s remark that he understands the chronology.
Mr. Yadav also provided a timeline of the events leading up to the raids. He questioned what had become of spectacular, newsworthy reports that past raids had recovered thousands of crores in cash and assets.
He stated, “Fighting back against their rumors, lies, and political vendetta requires courage. We have political clout, moral character, and ideas”.
He said that he had frequently stated they should expect vengeful attacks.
“I told it the day we formed the government, that such attempts will be constant”, he added.
Referring to the Enforcement Directorate’s assertion that they found proceeds of crime totaling more than Rs 600 crores in the most recent raids, Mr. Yadav demanded that they first provide information about the Rs 8,000 crore money laundering scheme they had allegedly discovered in the raids of 2017, which they had claimed was connected to the family of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav.
“In 2017, they followed the same pattern. What happened to the Rs 8 billion? It has no value. They claimed to have found a treasure in my home, but they came away empty-handed. They received nothing from me, therefore I’m challenging them, and I will do it unless they reveal the seizure list”, he added.
