Swami Kailashanand Giri Welcomes PM Modi’s Message To Youth

Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj of the Niranjani Akhara has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message to the youth, saying it reinforces democratic values, constructive dialogue and respect for every citizen’s constitutional rights. He said the Constitution of India grants every citizen the freedom to express opinions and register peaceful, democratic protests.

Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj stressed that people should exercise these rights with dignity, restraint and responsibility.

Referring to recent public discourse, Swami Kailashanand Giri said no individual should use offensive, insulting or inappropriate language against anyone holding a constitutional office, particularly the Prime Minister, or against members of their family. He stated that such conduct does not reflect India’s cultural ethos, democratic traditions or the values of Sanatan Dharma.

Giri Maharaj said differences of opinion remain a natural part of every democracy.

Citizens must uphold the dignity of language, maintain courtesy and show mutual respect while expressing their views.

Giri Maharaj also strongly condemned personal attacks and indecent public remarks made in the name of protest or disagreement. He urged people, especially the youth, to exercise their democratic rights with discipline, civility and a commitment to the national interest.

Swami Kailashanand Giri reiterated that respectful dialogue strengthens democracy, while abusive language weakens public discourse. He called upon citizens to preserve constitutional values and social harmony by expressing disagreements through peaceful, responsible and dignified means.

The message emphasises that democratic participation must always remain rooted in respect, constitutional principles and India’s long-standing cultural and moral traditions.
