State Government On Mission To Rebuild Andhra: CM Naidu

Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu on Thursday said that government was on mission to rebuild state since winning the confidence of investors is crucial.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared his thoughts through X. CM posted on the platform following a meeting with top officials of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and VinFast one day before.

“This is a departure from what occurred over the last five years – when politics trumped progress, corruption replaced cooperation and destruction replaced development. Investors had lost confidence and left the state, impacting the economy and employment. Now, it is crucial that we win back the confidence of investors,” he claimed.

“I thank our media colleagues for reporting on these meetings, spreading hope across the state. Your coverage has helped spread the word about the opportunities and potential that Andhra Pradesh has to offer, reassuring investors that our state is a reliable and safe destination for investment. I hope that we will continue to work together to make Andhra Pradesh the No. 1 state in the country,” added Naidu, who posted a picture of newspaper headlines about the meetings with top executives of BPCL and VinFast.

On Wednesday, the CM received a visit from BPCL representatives, led by Chairman and Managing Director Krishna Kumar.

They talked about the planned construction of a petrochemical complex and oil refinery. These projects would require an investment ranging from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000 crore.

Chief Minister promised the corporation for approximately 5,000 acres of land needed for this project. CM Naidu also requested a comprehensive plan and feasibility report within 90 days.

Pham Sanh Chau, the CEO of VinFast, also paid CM Naidu a visit.

One of Vietnam’s top auto companies is VinFast. They were approached by CM Naidu to establish their EV and battery production facility in Andhra Pradesh.
