Special Plane Lands In Kerala With Mortal Remains Of 45 Indians

A special plane carrying the mortal remains of 45 Indians who died in a Kuwait building fire landed in Kerala.  The plane landed in Kerala on Friday and will later fly to Delhi. 45 Indians lost their lives in an unfortunate incident of fire break-out on June 12. The majority of those dead hailed from the southern part of India.

At the airport were various state cabinet members, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Union Minister of State Suresh Gopi, and Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan.

According to State Minister of Law P. Rajeeve, the flight landed here first and will depart for Delhi with the remaining bodies because the majority of the victims were from Kerala.

23 people from Kerala, 7 from Tamil Nadu, 3 from Andhra Pradesh, 2 from Odisha, 1 from Punjab, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Haryana are among the victims.

The victims’ lifeless remains from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka will be sent to their appropriate locations.

The state government inspected the remains of each body. Later ambulances were assigned to each body to send them designated destination.

The authorities had kept the mortal remains at the airport for a while. This was done so that people could pay their final respects before bodies were given to the families.

On board was Union Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh, who had hurried to Kuwait.

At least 49 people were killed when a major fire broke out in a six-story structure. The building was located in Mangaf city, Kuwait, on Wednesday.

According to the embassy, out of the 176 Indian laborers housed there, 45 passed away and 33 were admitted to the hospital.
