Gangster Atiq Ahmad
The parade that left from Gujarat’s Sabarmati prison for Prayagraj’s Naini Jail finally reached its destination at 5.30 p.m. on Monday. The court is likely to announce its verdict on Tuesday in the 2007 Umesh Pal kidnapping case against the gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother.
The parade was a six-vehicle convoy that was to take the gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed to Prayagraj Jail. This was a 1300 km journey which was to take about 24 hours to complete a task assigned by a special court. The court will announce its verdict on Tuesday in the 2007 Umesh Pal kidnapping case against the gangster and his brother.
This 24-hour ride would have been the most thrilling experience of Atiq’s life as it was assumed that his car would also overturn like Vikas Dubey. Also mentioning that Uttar Pradesh has gained a lot of limelight for the encounters that happen in the state now and then.
Criminals are afraid of the Yogi-led government of UP. Even Atiq screamed “hatya (murder)” twice even before the journey started. Many media vans were accompanying the convoy throughout the trip.
Contradictory to this, when the media asked him if he is feeling afraid. He said in Hindi, “Kahe ka dar (what fear?)”.

The gangster’s sister, Ayesha Noori accompanied the convoy throughout its way. Also, she was interacting with journalists all along the way. She mentioned her fear of her brother falling victim to “an encounter” especially after Uttar Pradesh CM, Yogi Adityanath recently expressed that the ‘mafia’ would be dealt with strongly. She also added that her brother is not well.
Along the way, the van carrying him hit a cow that leads to a halt of 15 minutes. When the accident took place, Atiq was terrified and he started chanting God’s name. The cow hit the van so hard that it died on the spot of the accident. Even the video of the accident went viral after this incident took place.
