In a heartfelt tribute to India’s victorious spirit during the Kargil War, Fitistan Ek Fit Bharat, in collaboration with Military Headquarters Mumbai Goa & Gujarat Area, proudly presents the Mumbai Kargil Soldierathon. Scheduled for Sunday, 28th July 2024, this event marks the 25th Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, celebrating India’s triumph over Pakistan and honoring the bravery of 527 soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Soldierathon promises participants a unique experience within the exclusive confines of Military Station Colaba, typically off-limits to civilians. Nestled amidst lush greenery and adjacent to the sea, this pollution-free environment offers a serene backdrop for the tribute run, which includes two categories: the 5 Kms Tribute Run and the 10 Kms Timed Run. The latter serves not only as a test of physical endurance but also as a qualifier for major marathons.
Participants can expect a comprehensive event package, including specially designed t-shirts, a unique medal, timing chips for the 10 Kms category, and a discount voucher from EaseMyTrip. Additionally, amenities such as breakfast, volunteer support, on-route hydration, and medical assistance ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all runners.
Founded by Major Dr. Surendra Poonia, VSM (Ex-Special Forces), and Mrs. Shilpa Bhagat (2013 Mrs. India World), Fitistan Ek Fit Bharat aims to inspire and educate Indians towards a fitter lifestyle.
