Skyroot’s Young Team Has Taken India’s Flag To New Heights, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday praised Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace for successfully launching Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed orbital rocket, saying the historic achievement was powered by a team with an average age of just 28 years. He remarked that he was ‘not talking about a 56-year-old youth’ but about young innovators who had taken India’s flag to new heights in the global space sector.

Addressing the media ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the Prime Minister expressed hope that both the monsoon season and the parliamentary session would prove productive, benefiting the nation and its people.

Highlighting India’s recent achievements, PM Modi said the country had witnessed several milestones over the past month across national, international and space sectors, creating moments of pride for every Indian.

Recalling India’s progress in space exploration, Prime Minister Modi noted that an Indian astronaut had travelled to the International Space Station before last year’s Monsoon Session, while this year Skyroot Aerospace created history by launching Vikram-1 under Mission Aagaman, marking India’s entry into the private orbital launch era.

The Prime Minister said the achievement showcased the extraordinary talent and determination of India’s youth.

PM Modi said the mission proved that the aspirations and potential of India’s youth are as boundless as space. He also highlighted a major oil refinery in Rajasthan, India’s third semiconductor plant and a green hydrogen-powered train.

Crediting scientists, engineers, innovators and workers, PM Modi said these achievements reflect India’s growing technological strength and global standing.
