Six people were injured on Friday in Gurugram’s Prem Nagar area after a clash erupted between two groups of Kanwarias over performing ‘Jalabhishek’ at a Shiva temple, according to the police.
The violence, which was captured on CCTV, also resulted in some vehicles being damaged.
The conflict began with a heated argument between the two groups at the Shiva temple, where they had come to perform ‘Jalabhishek’. The argument escalated into physical violence with both sides attacking each other with sticks and brickbats, causing injuries to several people. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The SHO of Sector 14 police station stated that complaints are being filed based on reports from both sides.
To ensure safety, additional security has been deployed in the area, the SHO added.
