Shocking Betrayal! Woman Murdered by In-Laws in Gruesome Plot for Life Insurance

In-laws plan to acquire their daughter-in-law’s insurance money included a dark conspiracy. A distressing incident that occurred during the nights of January 19 and 20 has recently come to light. The harrowing event took place in the village of Nano Mallian, Kapurthala, where a 32-year-old woman was allegedly murdered. The deceased, identified as Rajdeep Kaur, was a US citizen who was originally from Punjab. As per the police’s suspicions, the motive behind the gruesome murder was to claim the substantial life insurance amount associated with Rajdeep.

The tragic murder

Rajdeep, a mother of a five-year-old, arrived in Kapurthala on January 12, accompanied by her husband, Manjinder Singh, who currently resides illegally in the United States, aspiring to secure a green card. The in-laws, Daljit Kaur and Jagdev Singh were arrested by Sultanpur Lodhi police for their alleged involvement in the crime. Additionally, Rajdeep’s husband, Manjinder Singh, still in the United States, faces charges in connection with the case.

According to Babandeep Singh, DSP, Sultanpur Lodhi, “It is believed the woman was murdered as she had hefty life insurance coverage.” The post-mortem examination report, received on January 23, identified “asphyxia due to smothering” as the cause of Rajdeep’s tragic demise.

In-laws store Rajdeep’s body in a freezer

The situation took a sinister turn when Rajdeep’s in-laws stored her body in a freezer at Sidhwa Dona village for two days before notifying the Sultanpur Lodhi police. The news of her death reached Rajdeep’s parents in the UK through a telephone call. Alarmed by the circumstances surrounding their daughter’s passing, her mother, Nirmal Kaur, travelled to India and filed a complaint with Sultanpur Lodhi police on January 25.

The family alleges that Rajdeep faced persistent torture from her husband, who pressured her to transfer all her property into his name for immigration purposes. Nirmal Kaur expressed her suspicions, stating, “My daughter was called to India based on a lie about a wedding. It was a plan to kill her.” The family claims that Manjinder initially informed them of Rajdeep’s death as a result of a heart attack, while another relative mentioned gas from a room heater as the cause.

Here’s what the post-mortem reports revealed

On the same day, the post-mortem examination report confirmed the cause of death as asphyxia, and Sultanpur Lodhi police registered an FIR against the in-laws and husband.
