Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, PM Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a public rally in Nanded, Maharashtra.
Addressing a public rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the voters are observing how individuals within the INDI Alliance have come together solely to protect their interests and to safeguard corruption.
“Consequently, reports indicate that in the initial phase of voting, voters have outright rejected the INDI Alliance,” the PM added.
PM further said that regardless of the claims made by them, the truth remains that even before the announcement of elections, leaders of the Congress party had already conceded defeat.
PM Modi took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He asserted that even Congress ‘Shehzada’ is facing trouble in Wayanad.
“The prince and his entourage are awaiting the voting on 26 April in Wayanad. As soon as the voting is completed, they will declare another safe seat for him,” the PM added.
Elaborating on the relationship between the Sikh Gurus and Nanded, PM Modi stated that the land of Nanded reflects the purity of India’s Sikh Gurus.
The Prime Minister added, “It is our government which has brought CAA for the victims of partition. What would have happened to our Sikh brothers and sisters if there was no CAA? What wrong have they done? But Congress is opposing this too. It seems like Congress is still seeking revenge for 1984 from the Sikhs.”
Lashing out at Congress, PM Modi said that for decades, Congress spared no effort to impede the progress of Maharashtra, particularly in Vidarbha and Marathwada. PM added that this attitude led to impoverishment among farmers, dwindling industrial prospects, and forced migration of countless youths.
“The NDA government is steadfast in its commitment to uplift you from this predicament,” the PM added.
Meanwhile, the second phase of the Lok Sabha election s2024 will be on 26 April. The counting of votes will be on 4 June.
