In a powerful show of support for women’s dignity and cultural revival, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh led a grand padayatra titled ‘Shakti Ka Shankhnad’ in Sarojini Nagar.
Thousands participated in the march, which aimed to raise awareness against anti-women ideologies and celebrate feminine strength.
During the padayatra, demonstrators raised slogans such as ‘Matrashakti ka samman, stri virodhi vichardhara hai desh ka apmaan’ (Respect for women is national pride; anti-women ideology is national shame).
Dr Rajeshwar Singh declared that the march was not just a rally but the beginning of a mass revolution.
He emphasised that this movement is a bold voice against Taliban mindsets, and that the message from Sarojini Nagar would resonate across the nation.
Participants held the Indian tricolour and red flags, symbolising patriotism and women’s empowerment.
Dr Singh also addressed local issues, asserting that the daughters of Sarojini Nagar would no longer remain silent in the face of oppression.
Protesters carried banners with slogans such as ‘Abhi apmaan par poorn sata ka jhootha wada, mukhota chhini durgati ki’, expressing deep concerns over both local and national issues.
Dr Rajeshwar Singh assured that this padayatra is just the beginning. He announced plans for more such events in the future to continue the mission of women’s empowerment and cultural resurgence.
Local residents and BJP workers welcomed his initiative, calling it a bold and positive step toward social transformation.
