Seven Kanwariyas Injured In Electric Shock Incident In Hardoi

Seven Kanwariyas have sustained severe burns after an iron pipe on their pickup truck came into contact with a high-tension electric wire. The incident occurred at Khajohna intersection on the Gausganj road in Mallawan Kotwali area on Sunday.

The accident happened when an iron pipe, part of the DJ sound system fitted on the pickup, inadvertently touched the high-voltage line. The electric shock resulted in the immediate burning of the Kanwariyas, who were en route to participate in religious rituals.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured Kanwariyas were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries is currently unknown, but medical professionals are providing the necessary care.

Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact circumstances leading to the contact with the high-tension wire. Meanwhile, locals and fellow Kanwariyas are expressing concern over the safety measures surrounding high-voltage lines in the area.

This unfortunate event underscores the critical need for enhanced safety protocols, especially in areas where public gatherings and religious processions intersect with high-risk infrastructure.
