Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fifth edition of SEMICON India 2026 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi on September 17.
The three-day event, running until September 19, will bring together global semiconductor companies, policymakers, investors, researchers, start-ups and academia to showcase India’s expanding capabilities across the semiconductor and electronics value chain.
The India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and SEMI, the global industry association representing the semiconductor and electronics ecosystem, will jointly organise the event.
Held under the theme ‘Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem’, SEMICON India 2026 comes as India strengthens its position in the global semiconductor sector.
Policy support, growing industry execution and rising demand for diversified and resilient supply chains are creating new opportunities for the country.
The exhibition will feature over 600 exhibitors, including around 300 international companies, across 15,000 square metres. More than 150 speakers will discuss key semiconductor and electronics developments.
Six country and 12 state pavilions will showcase the sector, with dedicated spaces for start-ups, students, innovation, workforce development and women in semiconductors.
Around 40 start-ups will feature at the Startup Pavilion, while the Workforce Development Pavilion will highlight skills and career opportunities.
The ‘Sand to Silicon to Systems’ experience will showcase India’s semiconductor ecosystem, from materials and manufacturing to chip design and systems.
The event will feature a start-up pitch, student hackathon and innovation showcase for emerging talent and technologies.
The conference will cover semiconductor manufacturing, AI, supply-chain resilience, advanced packaging, chip design, R&D and talent development.
International country roundtables will accompany sessions on women’s leadership, workforce development and industry collaboration.
