Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh expressed his views while fully supporting the Governor’s address on the fifth day of the budget session in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He said that it is a matter of pride for me to have the opportunity to speak in this historic House for the first time. He said that CM Yogi ji is not a leader who follows in his footsteps and repeats history, but a leader who creates history.
Focusing on the five major policies of the budget, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said, “These five policies are visionary and will give employment to the youth and double the income of the farmers”.
He apprised the House about Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy, Bio Energy Policy, Textile and Garment Policy, Tourism Policy, and Milk Policy.
Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said, “There are two policies related to energy- ‘Uttar Pradesh Solar Energy Policy’ and ‘Uttar Pradesh State Bio Energy Policy’. The power generation capacity will increase by 22 thousand MW. Through Solar Park and Solar Rooftop Project, 30,000 youth will be trained as Surya Mitras, which will increase employment. The budget is allocated for Green Energy Corridor in Bundelkhand. Cities to be developed as solar cities, get 100% exemption on stamp and electricity duty. Due to this policy in the Global Investors Summit 2023, 144 MoUs related to this sector were signed and an investment of 4.5 lakh crores came. Uttar Pradesh has a renewable energy capacity of 2.3 GW in the state. Uttar Pradesh State Bio-Energy Policy 2022 in which investment has been encouraged for setting up Compressed Biogas (CBG), Ethanol, Biodiesel, Bio-coal, etc. Uttar Pradesh is leading in the production of bioethanol”.
Talking about textiles, Dr. Singh said, “The textile industry is the most important, ancient, developed, and successful industry. Apparel and textile parks are being established on the border of Noida and Lucknow-Hardoi, more will be established further so that we can increase our textile production capacity. Due to the textile policy, a huge investment of 55 thousand crores has come in the 2023 Global Investors Summit”.
He further said, “Kanpur city is called Manchester of the East because of its textile industry, Banaras silk from Lucknow and carpet from Bhadohi is famous not only in India but all over the world”.
Focusing the attention of the house on the tourism policy, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said, “The tourism policy has come under the leadership of CM Yogi, which will give unprecedented benefits to the economy of the state in the coming times. Uttar Pradesh tourism contributes 16% to the national economy. UP is the biggest state for Eco Tourism, Cultural & Heritage Tourism, and Religious Tourism”.
According to statistics, Uttar Pradesh received 25 crores more tourists from January to October last year, of which 4 lakh 10 thousand were foreign tourists.
On dairy policy, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said, “We are proud that the country is number four in milk production and our state is number one in the country. For the first time in Uttar Pradesh, our government came up with a dairy policy, under which concessions and subsidies are being given to new milk production units. More than 4 thousand MoUs were signed in Uttar Pradesh at a cost of 30 thousand crores. A pollen plant has been set up in my constituency, due to which many people have got employment. The country’s first cooperative dairy or old dairy had a capacity of 1.5 lakh liters per day, which was increased to 3 lakh liters”.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, today the state is number one in road-express-way, metro, international, and domestic air connectivity. The state has moved from the 14th position to the second position in the national ranking of Ease of Doing Business.
On the strong law and order situation, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said, “There has been a reduction of 80 to 50 percent in serious crimes like murder, robbery, dacoity, and crimes against women in the state. About 65,000 criminals were sent to jail, and property worth 8,000 crores was confiscated or freed from their possession, as a result of which Uttar Pradesh is the safest state in the country today”.
Dr. Rajeshwar Singh stated that the state government formulated 25 new sector policies, implemented more than 600 reforms, and provided more than 400 online services to entrepreneurs through the single window portal Nivesh Mitra. 49,058 investment proposals worth more than 33 lakh 50 thousand crores are the accomplishment of these resolutions.
He said, “The world is exploring the possibilities of life on Mars, making unmanned and flying cars, and robotic surgeries, on the other hand, our opposition focuses on caste appeasement, religious, and negative politics. I warn you that future generations will never forgive us”.
Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said that the members of this respected house make laws and policies, and the youth of our region and state look towards us with great hope for a bright future, in the coming times they have to compete with other youth of the world. . We have to take them forward and establish the state as Uttam Pradesh. He ended his talk by reciting a quote- ‘When you get tired of hating – then give a chance to faith too’.
