Rozgar Mela 2026: PM Modi Hands Over 51,000 Appointment Letters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in various government departments and organisations during the 19th Rozgar Mela held on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering virtually, the Prime Minister said the newly appointed youth would become important partners in the country’s ‘Vikas Yatra’ and play a crucial role in achieving the vision of a Viksit Bharat in the coming years.

PM Modi congratulated the candidates and their families. He said success depends not only on personal effort and family support but also on the contribution of society and the nation’s 140 crore citizens.

Referring to his recent five-nation tour, the Prime Minister said global leaders and major companies expressed strong interest in India’s youth and technological progress. He said countries across the world want to become part of India’s development journey and added that India’s international partnerships are aimed at creating opportunities, employment, confidence and global exposure for Indian youth.

PM Modi highlighted agreements signed during his visit to the United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy, saying they would directly benefit India’s young population.

The Prime Minister also referred to the strategic partnership between ASML and Tata Electronics for supplying advanced lithography tools to India’s first commercial semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat.

The two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the Netherlands.

The 19th Rozgar Mela took place at 47 locations across the country.

Newly recruited candidates will join several Ministries and departments, including Railways, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Financial Services and Higher Education.
