Robert Vadra Says He’s Ready To Face ‘Unjust Pressure’ After ED Grills Him In Gurugram Land Case

Businessman Robert Vadra, after being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Gurugram land case, stated on Wednesday morning that he stands by the truth and is prepared to face what he described as ‘unjust pressure’.

“I’m here for any kind of unjust pressure. I believe in the truth, and truth will prevail,” Vadra wrote in a Facebook post.

His statement followed his claim that his community service during his birthday week had been disrupted.

Without naming the government directly, Vadra suggested attempts were being made to prevent him from supporting vulnerable groups and speaking out against discrimination.

“Nothing is going to deter me from fulfilling people’s wishes and needs,” he further stated.

Vadra mentioned that plans to provide food to the elderly and distribute gifts to children had been temporarily halted.

“My Birthday Week Seva has been paused for a few days. Plans I have made for feeding the elderly and gifts for all the children in different areas will be continued as soon as I get over the ‘Government’s ways of stopping Me’, from doing good and speaking about their unjust behavior towards minorities, or if there are wishes and talks of me being in politics,” he noted.

Allegations By Robert Vadra Against Federal Agencies

After several hours of questioning by the ED, Vadra, however, alleged that federal agencies were being used as tools against him and emphasized that he had fully cooperated.

Sources said the agency has summoned him again for questioning on 16 April.

“All the questions which I have answered before are being answered again. There is no issue. I have nothing to hide. Everything is answered; everything will be answered again,” Vadra remarked.

Speaking to the media, Vadra further claimed that his welfare work is often met with political retaliation.

“Whenever I talk for the people, they will try to suppress me. It’s a political vendetta. They misuse the power of the probing agencies. I do not have any fear, as I have nothing to hide,” he added.

Vadra also noted that he had already submitted over 23,000 documents to the agency in 2019 and called the current summons politically motivated.

“23,000 documents were submitted in 2019. The case that they are asking me about is a 20-year-old case. This is politically motivated. We abide by all the rules and regulations when we do any transaction. The ruling government always misuses the agency. They can ask me as many questions. I have nothing to hide. All is good,” he remarked.

Robert Vadra voiced his dissatisfaction with the case, claiming it lacked substance and expressing hope that the investigation would soon be resolved.

Outside the ED office, Congress supporters rallied in his support, chanting slogans like ‘Jab jab Modi darta hai, ED ko aage karta hai’, accusing the central government of using investigative agencies to target political opponents.
