A deadly road accident in Bengal claimed 6 lives on Saturday. The horrific accident took place on the state highway at Keshpur in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when an ambulance drove too fast and struck a truck carrying cement head-on.
Four of the deceased have been named: Chandana Bhuinia, Shyamal Bhunia, Shyamapada Bag, and Anima Mallick.

Authorities are yet to ascertain the identities of other two deceased. Everybody who passed away was a passenger in the ambulance.
According to authorities, two more injured passengers from the ambulance have been taken to a hospital, where their condition is listed as critical.
According to official information from keshpur police station, West Midnapore, ” Five, including two women, were killed on the spot. One succumbed to injuries later in the hospital, taking the death toll to six.” “There was a bridge and then a turning. The collision took place near the turning,” said the officer mentioned above.
The deadly road accident in Bengal took place on 11:54, as per the officials.
Following the collision, the truck driver left the scene. Post-mortem has been ordered for the bodies.
Investigation has been launched to catch the culprit.
