Ram Navami 2026: PM Modi, Amit Shah Extend Wishes To Nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of Ram Navami. He invoked the blessings of Lord Ram for the welfare of all and the realisation of a developed and self-reliant India.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “My fellow countrymen across the nation, unlimited best wishes on the occasion of Ram Navami.”

“From the life of Maryada Purushottam, filled with sacrifice, austerity, and restraint, we draw inspiration to confront every situation with our full strength. His ideals will continue to guide not only the people of India but all of humanity for eternity. My wish is that by the grace of Lord Ram, the welfare of all may be ensured, paving the way for the fulfilment of our resolve for a developed and self-reliant India,” the post further read.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted people on the occasion. He highlighted the enduring relevance of Lord Ram’s life and teachings.

“Heartfelt wishes on the occasion of Ram Navami. The life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram is an invaluable inspiration for walking the path of truth, righteousness, and duty. I pray to Lord Shri Ram for the welfare and prosperity of all,” Shah posted on X.

Ram Navami marks the birth of Lord Ram, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, and falls during Chaitra Navratri.

The occasion holds deep spiritual significance. Devotees reflect on values such as truth, compassion and righteousness, which are central to Lord Ram’s life.

Regarded as Maryada Purushottam, Lord Ram symbolises duty, moral integrity and ideal leadership. His life continues to inspire millions to follow the path of ethical conduct, justice and compassion.

Across the country, devotees marked the festival with prayers and rituals in temples and homes.

Many observed fasts, participated in devotional singing, and recited passages from the Ramayana. The occasion reinforced faith and spiritual devotion.
