Rajnath Singh Reviews Western Border Security Following PM Modi’s Strong Anti-Terror Stand

A day after PM Modi laid out India’s uncompromising stance against terrorism, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh convened a high-level security meeting on Tuesday to assess the situation along the western border.

The meeting, held at South Block, involved key discussions on ensuring continuous vigilance despite the ceasefire understanding reached during Operation Sindoor.

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, and Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari attended the review.

Together, they examined the current operational readiness of the armed forces and discussed emerging security dynamics.

Praise For Forces After Operation Sindoor

During the meeting, Rajnath Singh commended the armed forces for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, which reportedly eliminated 100 terrorists and destroyed Pakistani defence infrastructure.

He underlined that Pakistan had chosen to attack India rather than cooperate in the fight against terrorism.

Rajnath Hails PM Modi’s Leadership

On Monday, Rajnath Singh publicly endorsed PM Modi’s national address, praising the Prime Minister’s resolute message to the world.

“In his address to the nation today, Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi has put India’s policy against terrorism before the whole world with great clarity and firmness,” Singh posted on X.

He added that the statement reflected India’s military, diplomatic, and moral strength.

Reaffirming PM Modi’s message, Rajnath Singh stressed that any future dialogue with Pakistan would strictly focus on terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He highlighted the courage and determination of Indian forces and thanked the Prime Minister for his unwavering leadership.

Operation Sindoor As A Symbol Of National Resolve

Earlier on Sunday, Singh called Operation Sindoor a testament to India’s political, social, and strategic willpower.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the BrahMos Integration and Testing Facility Centre in Lucknow virtually, he underscored the operation’s significance beyond military success.
