Rajasthan Train Sabotage: Security Officials Visit Spot, Say It’s A Planned Act

Rajasthan Train Sabotage: Railway and security officials inspected a site near Ajmer, Rajasthan, where miscreants tried to sabotage a railway track by placing cement blocks. The attempt aimed to derail a loaded goods train, officials said on Tuesday.

Mangliyawas police station in-charge, Surendra Singh, stated, “This was a planned act by anti-social elements.” He suggested multiple individuals might have been involved, citing the remote location as a challenge for investigation. No cameras or clues were available.

Miscreants Place Cement Blocks

Rameshwar Lal Meena, RPF Assistant Commissioner, said workers removed the blocks. These had been placed on a culvert near the tracks. The train’s driver noticed the obstruction and alerted the station master. A similar block was found on a parallel track.

An FIR has been lodged under sections of the Railway Act. Police have registered a case, and investigation officer Ramswaroop is probing the matter.

Previous Incidents in Rajasthan

This is the third train sabotage attempt in Rajasthan recently. In August, scrap metal and cement blocks were placed on tracks in Chhabra and Pali. No major accidents occurred in these cases, but authorities have heightened their vigilance.

The investigation continues, with officials suspecting a larger conspiracy.
