Rajasthan Schools To Observe Special Days For 370 Abrogation, Savarkar Jayanti

Rajasthan Schools will have a revised schedule for the academic year 2024-25. Notably, since they plan mark two significant events.

On May 28, schools will celebrate Savarkar Jayanti. On the other hand Rajasthan schools will observe the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir on August 5. This day will be named ‘Swarn Mukut Mastak Diwas.’

These changes are part of the new calendar issued by the Rajasthan Education Department for both government and private schools.

Additionally, the Education Department has introduced a ‘No Bag Day.’ This will be held on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. On these days, schools will organize various activities for students to actively participate in these events.

The department has also planned On-Job training for Class 11 and 12 students during the winter holidays. This initiative aims to provide practical experience alongside academic learning.

According to the calendar shared by Director of Education Ashish Modi, schools will be open for 213 days in the year. There will be 152 days of holidays, which include weekends and festival breaks.

For Diwali, schools will be closed from October 27 to November 7, giving students a 12-day break. Winter holidays will start on December 25 and continue until January 5.

Exams will be scheduled throughout the year. The first exam will take place from August 21 to 23. The second exam is set for October 14 to 16. The half-yearly exams will run from December 12 to 24. Final exams, excluding Board exams, will be held from April 24 to May 8. Results will be announced on May 16.

The new academic session for all state-affiliated schools will begin on July 1, 2025.
