In Rajasthan’s Bordering cities which joins it with the neighbouring stated a tremendous spike in drug dealings can be seen. the question of ” Is Rajasthan becoming the next Udata Punjab ” arises . According to the officials, 23 cases of heroin smuggling have come to the front in the past Two and a half years in four Pakistan neighbouring districts of Rajasthan

Drug trade in the districts of Rajasthan

125 kilogram of heroin had been imported into the state during these times. In fact, during the past two years, police have seized drugs worth Rs 1 crore in tablets, capsules, and injections.
9000 cases of drug trafficking have been reported here in the past two and a half years, and 11,000 people have been jailed.

Unexpectedly, eight police officers were reportedly discovered working along and helping narcotics traffickers.
Police teams have verified that narcotics and weapon traffickers from Punjab are now using the Sriganganagar, Bikaner, and Barmer routes to get from India to Pakistan. They verified that there has been an upsurge in recent months in the instances of drones delivering drugs and being fired down.

There are battalions here every 50 kilometers, as opposed to 20–30 kilometers apart in Punjab, which is a boon for smugglers.

Monitoring borders

Punjab has raised soldier numbers and improved border monitoring, according to official sources, traffickers are preparing a backup plan and are looking toward the frontiers of Rajasthan. In fact, they said, authorities have tightened up on Pakistan’s borders.
In Rajasthan, one battalion is in charge of patrolling a 50-kilometer radius. Because there are fewer people and troops in these areas, drug traffickers view them as safe havens. These cities include Barmer, Khajuwala in Bikaner, and Shri Ganganagar.

Punjabi traffickers involved in the trade

The international drug traffickers from Pakistan have ties to the Punjabi traffickers. Now that many drug traffickers have family ties to residents of Rajasthan, bringing drugs here is made easier.
The ISI, Khalistani militants, and other terrorist organizations in Pakistan all support the drug trade network. Leading drug traffickers have connections to Punjabi traffickers, who are currently eyeing the frontiers of Rajasthan.

Police recently detained Swaroop Singh for distributing heroin in Delhi and Punjab. His cousin is wed in Pakistan, he admitted. From there, two Pakistani men—Bilal and Gulab—took his number and contacted him.

In his initial try, he dropped four packets of heroin, and in Narmer, he dropped nine packets. The smugglers paid him Rs 1 lakh for a single package of “HERION,” which was subsequently distributed to parties in Delhi and Punjab.
While this is happening, the squad is attempting to break the drug smugglers’ link, according to ADG Crime Dinesh M.N. “We are thoroughly investigating this case as it has a connection to Pakistan,” he continued.

According to officials, the use of drones to smuggle drugs from Pakistan across the border has increased. In Rajasthan’s Ganganagar district, at Sri Karanpur, BSF soldiers shot down a drone. According to sources, most of the smugglers in Punjab are receiving the drugs shipped by drones from Pakistan.

A suspicious person was apprehended during the search operation and two sachets of heroin that were laying in the field were also found after the BSF shot on the drone that was detected moving in the Sri Karanpur district in May. Following this occurrence, the local police and BSF worked together to conduct a search operation.

On the Indian border, Pakistani traffickers use drones to drop heroin shipments, and predominantly Punjabi smugglers travel there to pick them up. The smugglers attempt to collect the heroin shipment that has been dropped at a specific spot. These smugglers are frequently apprehended thanks to the quickness of BSF jawans.
