A heinous crime has been uncovered in Rajasthan, where a 33-year-old man named Jogendra was brutally murdered by his wife’s lover, Mandanlal. The accused went to the extent of chopping Jogendra’s body into six pieces and burying them in different locations across the Pali district.
According to reports from India Today, Mandanlal buried Jogendra’s torso in a nearby forest while hiding his head, hands, and feet in a garden about 100 meters away from the house. In a disturbing detail, Mandanlal even planted a mango seedling over the burial spot. The authorities made a significant breakthrough in the case, leading to the accused’s arrest on Tuesday.
The shocking details of the murder came to light when Jogendra’s father, Mishralal Meghwal, filed a missing person report on July 13. Jogendra had left home on July 11 but never returned. Suspecting Mandanlal’s involvement in his son’s disappearance, Mishralal lodged a complaint, ultimately leading to the arrest.
Mishralal believes that more individuals might be involved in the execution of his son’s murder. During the investigation, Mandanlal confessed to his affair with the deceased’s wife and admitted to committing the monstrous crime, providing gruesome details of how he killed Jogendra.
A similar incident occurred in Rajasthan’s Udaipur in April this year. In that case, a 20-year-old man named Kamlesh allegedly murdered a nine-year-old and dismembered the body, stuffing the pieces in plastic bags discovered at an abandoned house in the Mavli area.
