Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade paid a courtesy visit to the national capital, where he engaged in a series of high-level meetings with the country’s top leadership.
The Governor’s visit aims to strengthen coordination between the Centre and the state of Rajasthan, particularly in the context of ongoing development and welfare initiatives.
Governor Bagade met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter’s residence in New Delhi.
The Prime Minister’s Office shared two photographs of the interaction via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. While specific details of the meeting were not made public, it was confirmed to be a part of the Governor’s routine consultations with national leadership.
The Governor and the Prime Minister likely discussed issues of mutual interest concerning Rajasthan and its governance agenda.
Earlier in the day, Governor Bagade also called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Their meeting, held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, included discussions on Rajasthan’s development landscape and welfare efforts.
Officials said the Governor underscored his constitutional role as a key link between the state and the Union government during the dialogue, despite the absence of a formal communiqué.
In a separate engagement, Governor Bagade met Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal.
The meeting addressed topics of both national and regional significance.
On this occasion, Governor Bagade presented the Minister with a copy of ‘Abhyudaya Ki Or’, a commemorative book marking his first year in office.
The gesture symbolised the Governor’s emphasis on transparent governance and the importance of documentation in public service.
Officials described all three meetings as courtesy calls, yet they carried significant symbolic value.
Officials noted that these engagements highlighted the importance of regular communication between the Centre and the state to ensure effective policy implementation and governance synergy.
Governor Bagade’s visit comes as Rajasthan prepares for a series of major policy pushes in social welfare, infrastructure, and administrative reform.
Governor Bagade aims to align Rajasthan’s objectives with national priorities through his interactions with the central leadership, thereby accelerating the state’s development trajectory.
