Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence in New Delhi on Thursday. The courtesy meeting lasted around 20 minutes.
During the meeting, Bhajanlal Sharma congratulated PM Modi on completing 25 years in public service.
Neither side has disclosed details of their discussions, and no official statement has linked the meeting to any specific political or electoral decision.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to meet Union Minister for Coal, Mines and Education Pralhad Joshi at 4 PM to discuss key development issues concerning Rajasthan.
The meeting comes as the state prepares for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections following the recent urban local body polls.
Officials have not confirmed whether the discussions covered electoral matters.
A day earlier, the Rajasthan Cabinet, chaired by Bhajanlal Sharma, passed a resolution honouring PM Modi for completing 25 years in public office and his contribution to nation-building.
The Chief Minister described October 7 as a historic milestone in the Prime Minister’s public service journey. He highlighted PM Modi’s emphasis on good governance, development and the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
Bhajanlal Sharma referred to PM Modi’s electoral mandates, from his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister to three consecutive terms as Prime Minister.
The meeting comes as the Rajasthan government continues to pursue its development agenda while preparing for the next round of local elections.
