Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma encountered with an accident on Tuesday when his car swerved off the road and became lodged in a sewer near Punchari Ka Lautha, close to the Uttar Pradesh border. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
The occurrence transpired while CM Sharma was enroute to Govardhan Giriraj for a pilgrimage. Undeterred by the setback, the Rajasthan Chief Minister promptly continued his journey to the pilgrimage site using another vehicle.
This event marked Sharma’s inaugural visit to his hometown, Bharatpur, since assuming office. During this visit, he took a moment to pause at a tea stall in Manpur’s Pepalki village. There, he engaged in the ritual of making and enjoying tea, and also conversed with the tea stall proprietor, Munshi Lal Gurjar, extending financial assistance to him.
Despite the earlier setback, Sharma’s journey was not without warmth and goodwill, as he received a warm welcome from numerous well-wishers along the way to Bharatpur. This visit holds significance as it reflects Sharma’s commitment to connecting with his roots and engaging with the local community, even in the face of unexpected challenges.
