During his inspection, Vaishnav commended the efforts of the officials involved, saying, “You have done a very good job; congratulations to you all.” He took a 20-minute tour of Jhunsi station, where the General Manager of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) showed him the area near the confluence of the Ganga, a key location for pilgrims during the Kumbh. The Minister also assessed the work on the railway bridge connecting the two regions.
Afterward, Vaishnav proceeded to Phaphamau station to inspect additional preparations for the upcoming Maha-Kumbh Mela. He then traveled to Prayagraj Junction, where he is expected to inspect the control tower and a newly constructed pilgrim shelter.
The Minister’s visit is part of an effort to ensure that all railway facilities are ready for the massive influx of visitors to the Maha Kumbh, expected to attract millions of devotees. In the evening, Vaishnav, along with the Railway Board Chairman and senior railway officers, will attend a review meeting at the North Central Railway Headquarters to further discuss the progress and final preparations.
