Railway Board Chairperson Unveils Plans For Smooth Maha Kumbh 2025 Journey

Jaya Verma Sinha, Chairperson of the Railway Board (CRB) and Chief Executive Officer, has announced extensive plans for the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025, aimed at ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey for the estimated 30 crore devotees.

Railways is likely to deploy over 900 special trains for the event, with a comprehensive strategy in place to enhance both safety and convenience.

In preparation for the grand event, significant infrastructure upgrades are underway at Prayagraj Junction under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana.

The reconstruction on the Civil Lines side progresses rapidly and is likely to complete before the Maha Kumbh.

The officials however will finalize the development of the City side within the next two years.

These upgrades are part of the Railways’ commitment to making Maha Kumbh 2025 a resounding success.

CRB Sinha, along with senior railway officials, convened a meeting at the North Central Railway head office to review plans for the event.

Given the massive influx of devotees from across India and the world, the Railways are fortifying the infrastructure at Prayagraj and surrounding stations.

New underpasses and overbridges are being constructed to ensure smooth passenger flow and prevent any disruptions.
