Rahul Gandhi Asked to Vacate Government-Allotted Bungalow, Notice Given By Lok Sabha Housing Committee

Even though Rahul Gandhi had said that his disqualification as an MP hasn’t demoralized him, the proceedings seem to be seeking testimony from the former Congress president at every next step.

After losing it as a member of parliament the very next day of the session court’s verdict, today, Rahul Gandhi has been served with a notice from Lok Sabha Housing Committee asking him to vacate the government bungalow at Tughlaq road.

This notice came three days after his disqualification as an MP and two days after the press conference that followed the disqualification.

No cakewalk for Rahul Gandhi

Rahul has been projected as the PM face of Congress and all Sonia Gandhi is eagerly waiting for is to see him in the leadership position but as fate would have it, he firstly got disqualified as a member of Parliament from Wayanad and now has been served notice to vacate the government bungalow.
He has been given one month’s period to vacate the place but it doesn’t seem to be stopping here. Meanwhile, Rahul’s reaction to this notice is awaited.

On the footprints of Indira Gandhi?

In 1970s, his grandmother and the first female prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi was also disqualified but the very next step that she took was imposing an emergency that became an era of blot over the largest democracy. She also had to vacate her government-allotted bungalow after losing her seat in the general elections following the emergency. The Iron Lady shifted to accommodation in South Delhi, her cook died, and conspiracy prevailed like never before. But thereupon began the second inning of Mrs. Gandhi and there was no looking back.

What fate has in its kit for Rahul is still veiled but whatsoever it be, it would be a new afresh chapter.
