During a massive rally in Maharashtra’s Nagpur marking the Congress’ 139th foundation day, party leader Rahul Gandhi declared that if the party comes to power at the Centre, they will conduct a caste census. Gandhi highlighted the alarming state of unemployment, claiming it to be the highest in 40 years.
At the event named ‘Hain Tayyar Hum’, which initiated the Congress’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi emphasized the clash of ideologies prevailing in the country. He juxtaposed the Congress’s openness to internal dissent with the BJP’s rigid hierarchy, stating that even a junior Congress member can openly question and disagree with senior leaders.
