Radheshyam Rai being felicitated at the fest
A three-day programme has been organized to celebrate Indian Journalism Festival in Indore from Friday onwards where more than a hundred prominent journalists from different spheres of media have participated. While this event was graced by key speakers of journalism who presented their views on – Media & Society: Breaking Faith; the group managing editor of Bharat Express News Network, Radheshyam Rai was felicitated by the renowned leader and BJP’s general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya. Upendrra Rai, the chairman of the news network was also present at the occasion.
The chief of Bharat Express News Network, Upendrra Rai said, “I always attended Indian Journalism Festival without fail. While sharing his own experience with the delegates present at the event, he shared a life instance with the national secretary of BJP Kailash Vijayvargiya, and said he is like a brother, he further added that he learned journalism from Om Thanvi and although he had never worked for Jansatta, he had spent quality time with Prabhas Joshi.”
BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya also expressed his views on the current state of journalism in his address. He said that when the level of society deteriorates, it affects all the institutions. Kailash Vijayvargiya further said, “No one can escape from this effect. Somewhere a moral downfall has happened to all of us. We keep writing about the constitution, making noises, but tradition is very important and together we have broken traditions and norms. No one person is responsible for this.”
He further said, “I want to say two things to all of you, when penning down something, keep in mind how much your pen benefits the society and how much the country benefits. We should only think about the society and the country.”
