Pushkala Sangeet Kendra Marks 11 Years With Annual Music Examinations

Pushkala Sangeet Kendra in Malviya Nagar, Delhi, celebrated 11 successful years of promoting Indian classical music and dance by organising its annual music examinations.

Recognised by the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Prayagraj, the event brought together talented students, renowned musicians and distinguished gurus to honour India’s rich cultural heritage.

Veteran musician Guru Raman Singh Dhakar from Agra served as the chief examiner.

Drawing on his extensive experience in Kathak, vocal music and tabla, Guru Raman Singh Dhakar assessed the students’ performances while offering valuable guidance and encouragement to help them refine their artistic skills.

The students captivated the audience with a series of impressive performances across different disciplines.

Sadyant Kaushal emerged as one of the standout performers, earning widespread praise for his tabla playing and vocal recital.

Akash Bose presented an elegant Odissi performance, while Kathak students Ruhi, Avika and Vani impressed spectators with their graceful dance routines.

G Aishwarya staged an emotional portrayal of the Radha-Krishna Leela, and Rohit and Naman delighted the audience with their melodious singing. Several other students also displayed remarkable talent throughout the event.

Lavanya Sinha and Kavisha Sinha played a key role in organising the programme and ensuring its smooth execution.

Guru Sneha Mukherjee, Founder and Director of Pushkala Sangeet Kendra, thanked the students, parents and artists for their participation. She emphasised that music is not only an artistic discipline but also a means of reducing stress, bringing peace of mind and building self-confidence. She encouraged more people to embrace Indian classical music and dance.

Continuing a Tradition of Classical Learning

For the past 11 years, Pushkala Sangeet Kendra has been providing online and offline training in Indian classical music and dance to students across India and abroad.

The annual examinations also witnessed the presence of distinguished gurus, including Dr Rachna, Pt Nandlal Gandharv, Anand Devanath, Mahesh Prajapati, Rohit Pawar, Gajendra Parihar and Rajkumar Pawar, whose participation added prestige to the celebration and reinforced the institution’s commitment to preserving India’s classical traditions.
