Punjab Political Row Deepens Over Viral Video Linked To CM Bhagwant Mann

A fresh political controversy has erupted in Punjab following a disputed viral video allegedly linked to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, triggering a war of words between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and opposition leaders.

Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh dismissed allegations of a fabricated forensic report and defended Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing the Opposition of playing politics.

The controversy escalated after Gurugram Police arrested two individuals for allegedly creating a fake forensic report linked to the viral video.

The case has sparked political and religious debate across Punjab, with questions continuing over the video’s authenticity.

The matter has since become a major point of confrontation between the ruling party and its critics.

Congress MP Amar Singh intensified the pressure on the Chief Minister, arguing that Bhagwant Mann should resign over the controversy. He alleged that the matter involved concerns related to the authority of Akal Takht and claimed that the Chief Minister had failed to adequately address questions raised by religious institutions.

The Bharatiya Janata Party also targeted the Punjab Chief Minister.

BJP spokesperson RP Singh alleged that the viral video showed Bhagwant Mann disrespecting religious images and claimed investigations had exposed attempts to circulate misleading reports about its authenticity.

The Aam Aadmi Party dismissed the allegations as politically motivated, accusing opposition parties of exploiting the controversy.

With investigations ongoing and competing claims emerging, the row continues to dominate Punjab’s political discourse.
