Papalpreet Singh was arrested yesterday from the Amritsar district of Punjab. He was charged under NSA, which is National Security Act. He was a close aide of Amritpal Singh, Chief of ‘Waris Punjab De’. He helped the Khalistani leader to escape from the police’s trap.
Following that, Punjab police have issued a message for the criminals in Punjab. The police force has shared a tweet on the internet and through that, they have expressed that “You can run, but you can’t hide from the long arm of the law.”
The Twitter post shared a video along with the text that shared the before and after of the case. The ‘before’ part of the video showed when the Punjab Police was looking for Papalpreet. The ‘after’ part shows him arrested and walking with the police officials. The tweet expressed, “You can run, but you can’t hide from the long arm of the law’. Punjab Police #arrested Papalpreet Singh, the main associate of #AmritpalSingh.” The tweet further said, “We urge citizens to maintain peace & harmony in the region”

Tuesday morning, Papalpreet Singh and a team headed by deputy superintendent of Police Sanjiv Kumar departed from Amritsar towards Dibrugarh Jail in Assam.
From the Shri Guru Ramdas International Airport, they boarded a plane. Additionally, Papalpreet Singh is believed to have communicated with Pakistan’s ISI. Amritpal Singh, a supporter of Khalistan, eluded police on March 18 in the Jalandhar district.
Sukhchain Singh Gill, Punjab’s Inspector General of Police Headquarters informed that Papalpreet Singh was detained under the National Security Act Monday. According to Gill, the Amritsar Rural Police detained him in the Kathu Nangal region. Papalpreet Singh was wanted in six crimes, according to Gill, who also said that legal action would be taken against him.
