Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) canceled the class 12 English board examination paper which was scheduled to be conducted today.
According to an official release from CBSE, the examination of classes 10 and 12 is being held from February 15 to April 5. The examination was to begin at 2 pm.
PSEB controller of examination Janak Raj Mehrok said that the exam was to be conducted from 2 pm to 5.15 pm but had been canceled due to administrative reasons.
The action was taken by Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains after receiving a complaint about the paper leak.
“Action should be taken on no tolerance policy”, said the minister in the statement.
The minister ordered a high-level inquiry and immediate action in the matter.
Janak Raj Mehrok said the new date for holding the exam will be announced later.
The PSEB had recently revised its date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations.
Further details are awaited.
