Pune Police Arrests Two NIA-Wanted Suspects Linked to Terrorism

In a significant development, officials announced on Wednesday that the Pune police have successfully apprehended two individuals wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for their alleged involvement in terror-related activities. Notably, both suspects carried a bounty of Rs 5 lakh each.

Subsequent to their capture on Tuesday, the Pune police and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) officials jointly conducted interrogations of the two detainees. The sequence of events leading to their arrest began when a police patrolling team in the Kothrud area of Pune, Maharashtra, encountered three suspects attempting to steal a motorbike during the early hours of Tuesday. While conducting routine checks, one of the suspects managed to escape, but the authorities managed to apprehend the remaining two individuals. The arrested suspects have been identified as Imran Khan and Md Yunus Saki.
