President Murmu Praises 21-Year-Old Filmmaker Anupriya Nagar For ‘Hanuman Ansh’

President Droupadi Murmu met 21-year-old filmmaker Anupriya Nagar at Rashtrapati Bhavan and praised her efforts to preserve India’s cultural and spiritual heritage through cinema.

During the courtesy meeting, the President appreciated Nagar’s creative initiative and her attempt to introduce younger audiences to India’s enduring values of love, compassion and selfless service. She described Anupriya Nagar as part of a generation that takes pride in its cultural identity while approaching the future with confidence.

Sharing her experience on social media, Anupriya Nagar described the meeting as a moment beyond anything she had imagined when she began her journey. She highlighted the significance of meeting the President at the age of 21 with her film, Hanuman Ansh, forming part of her story.

The post reflected the personal significance of the occasion for the young filmmaker and the journey behind her project.

Hanuman Ansh is an inspirational film based on the life, philosophy and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, the revered saint closely associated with Kainchi Dham in Nainital, Uttarakhand. His devotees regard him as an embodiment of Lord Hanuman.

Anupriya Nagar’s research for the film included visits to Kainchi Dham and other ashrams, along with accounts and experiences shared by devotees. Through the project, she hopes to encourage young people to connect with Sanatan values, seek mental peace and practise selfless service.

Bharat Express is the film’s media partner, and Anupriya Nagar has acknowledged Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai for his support and encouragement.

At 21, Anupriya Nagar aims to bring India’s spiritual traditions to contemporary audiences through filmmaking, connecting the teachings of Neem Karoli Baba with younger generations and viewers worldwide.
