PRAYAGRAJ: Saint lying on pile of thorns since last 33 years performing unique sadhna

From last thirty three years a saint is lying on the banks of sangam and performing “unique sadhna” of tormenting his body by making a bed of thorns and a blanket of thorns is for that resolution .He has become center of attraction among the devotees coming in Magh Mela.

This unique saint  gives darshan to the devotees by lying on the roadside on a bed of thorns, and in the bitter cold, instead of covering himself with a blanket or quilt, he covers his body with thorns.

As his entire body was covered with thorns, people know him by the name of Thorn Baba. When he surrounds his body with thorny bushes on all sides and gives darshan to the devotees while playing the Damru, there is a rush of devotees to seek his blessings by touching his feet and chanting his name.

This unique sadhana of Baba of tormenting his body by making a bed of thorns and a blanket of thorns is for that resolution, which has now been fully fulfilled. However, to fulfill his resolve, He  has had to keep his body surrounded by thorns like this for the last thirty-three years.

His resolution may have been fulfilled after thirty-three years, but despite this he is not at all ready to leave the bed of thorns. As soon as one resolution was fulfilled, he has now taken a new resolution.
